Helga Mausch

Helga Mausch (born September 26, 1945 in Neuberend ) is a former German FDGB functionary.

Life

The daughter of an electrician attended elementary and high school in Cottbus from 1952 to 1964 with a high school diploma and from 1964 to 1966 completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences . From 1966 to 1970 she studied economics with a degree in economics . From 1966 to 2001 she worked as an auditor in the chief accountant department at VEB Braunkohlenwerk Cottbus. She was a member of the FDGB (IG Bergbau) and from 1971 a member of the block party National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). From 1979 to 1989 she was a member of the Cottbus city council with the mandate of the NDPD. On February 1, 1990, she was elected chairman of the executive board of the FDGB at an extraordinary congress. After the defection of all individual trade unions from the umbrella organization FDGB and the establishment of a three-person spokesman's council on May 9, 1990, she was effectively replaced as chairwoman, but charged with preparing the congress, which was to decide on the final dissolution of the FDGB.

In 2001 she retired. She lives in Cottbus.
