Helga Thomas (educational scientist)
Helga Z. Thomas (born October 4, 1937 in Mährisch-Ostrau ; † May 26, 2015 in Berlin ) was a German educationalist .
In the 1970s she built up the department “General, Historical and Systematic Pedagogy” at the Technical University of Berlin and headed it until her retirement in 2003. From 1991 to 1994 she was the founding dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences and founding director of the Center for Technology and Society at the Technical University of Cottbus . In 1995 she became honorary senator of the BTU Cottbus.
