Hello Nasty is the fifth studio album by the hip-hop band Beastie Boys . It was released in July 1998. Rolling Stone magazine counted it among the "Essential Recordings of the 90s". For the piece Intergalactic , the group won a prize for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the 1999 Grammy Awards , and for the album they won the award for Best Alternative Music Album .

In the four years since its predecessor Ill Communication , the band had released various EPs and compilations. Like the two previous album with co-producer was Mario Caldato Jr. added. Mix Master Mike joined the band as reinforcement. The album debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200 .
criticism
The Allmusic website gave the album 4.5 out of 5 stars. Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote: “The sonic adventures alone make the album noteworthy, but what makes it remarkable is how it looks to the future by looking to the past.” (“The sonic adventures alone make the album worth mentioning, but what makes it remarkable is how it looks into the future by looking into the past.
