Helmer Hermansen (born February 1, 1871 in Løten , † March 19, 1958 in Brumunddal ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .
successes
Helmer Hermansen took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris in five disciplines. In the team competition of the three-position battle with the army rifle, he was second on the side of Ole Østmo , Tom Seeberg , Ole Sæther and Olaf Frydenlund and thus received the silver medal. With 4290 points, they were over 100 points behind the winners from Switzerland and twelve points ahead of the third-placed French. The International Shooting Sport Federation evaluates the shooting competition at the games in 1900 as a world championship. In two of the other four disciplines with the army rifle - all individual competitions - he was placed outside the top ten. Only in the lying position did he reach tenth place or in the standing position ninth.
