Olaf Emil Frydenlund (born June 16, 1862 in Østfold , † April 8, 1947 in Aremark ) was a Norwegian sports shooter .

successes

Olaf Frydenlund took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris in five disciplines. In the team competition of the three-position battle with the army rifle, he was second on the side of Ole Østmo , Tom Seeberg , Ole Sæther and Helmer Hermansen and thus received the silver medal. With 4290 points, they were over 100 points behind the winners from Switzerland and twelve points ahead of the third-placed French. The International Shooting Sport Federation evaluates the shooting competition at the games in 1900 as a world championship. In the other four disciplines with the army rifle - all individual competitions - he was placed outside the top ten.

At world championships , Frydenlund secured a bronze medal in addition to the medal at the Olympic Games, which he won in an individual competition in Loosduinen in 1899 with the free rifle in a standing position over 300 m.
