Helmut Bräutigam (born June 6, 1930 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
The groom, who comes from Vogtland , started as a teenager at the Plauener SuBC and moved to Minden 05 in 1948 . In the 1950/51 season he completed two games in the then first-class Oberliga Nord for Eintracht Braunschweig . Groom then moved to VfL Wolfsburg , with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Nord in 1954. Groom guarded the gate of the "wolves" until his descent in 1959 and during this time he made 87 league appearances.
