Helmut G. Walther (politician)
Helmut Georg Walther (born May 4, 1924 in Buch am Forst ; † October 8, 1981 in Lichtenfels ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). From May 1, 1963 until his death, he was District Administrator of the Lichtenfels district .
Until his election as district administrator, Helmut G. Walther worked in the private sector, including as a lawyer . For 18 years he had a decisive influence on the fate of the Lichtenfels district. Helmut G. Walther had also been a member of the District Assembly of Upper Franconia since 1966. After his death at the age of 57, Ludwig Schaller was elected his successor on December 13, 1981.
In Lichtenfels the "Helmut-G.-Walther-Klinikum" was named after him.
