Christian Meissner

Christian Meißner (born December 18, 1969 in Kronach ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CSU ) and since December 15, 2011 incumbent district administrator of the Lichtenfels district . Before that he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1998 to 2011 and represented constituency 407 Lichtenfels / Kronach ( constituency of Upper Franconia ). In the state elections in 2003 he received 61.0% of the first votes; in the 2008 state election his share of the vote fell to 50.7%.

Life

Meißner attended school in Lichtenfels. After graduating from high school, he did his military service in Nuremberg in 1990/91 . From 1991 to 1995 he studied law in Würzburg . On February 21, 2015, Meißner was unanimously elected chairman of the BRK district association Lichtenfels. He is the successor to Jürgen Zürbig , who died in August 2014.

Christian Meißner has been a member of the CSU and JU since 1986 . He was JU chairman in Lichtenfels for several years. In 1997 he became deputy CSU local chairman in Lichtenfels and in 1997 district chairman of the European Union (Lichtenfels district association). He has been a district board member of the CSU Upper Franconia since 1999 and has been deputy district chairman of the SME working group in Lichtenfels since 1998. In 2000 he became the deputy district chairman of the European Union in Upper Franconia and in 2001 Meißner became the CSU district chairman of Lichtenfels. Since 2002 he has been a member of the city and district council in Lichtenfels.

Parliament

On September 28, 1998, Meißner entered the state parliament.

In the 15th electoral term he was there:

  • Member of the Committee for Regional Development and Environmental Issues (Deputy Chairman of the Environment Working Group of the CSU)
  • Member of the Committee for Local Affairs and Internal Security
  • Member of the parliamentary committee of the CSU parliamentary group
  • Speaker of the CSU parliamentary group for pseudo-religious movements and sect-like psychocults

District Administrator

In the election to the district administrator of the Lichtenfels district, Meißner was able to prevail on September 11, 2011 with 59.33% against his competitor Hans Peter Marx. In 2017 he was confirmed in office with two opposing candidates with 66.1% of the votes. His predecessor is Reinhard Leutner .
