Helmut Kloft

Heinrich August Helmut Kloft (born November 1, 1891 in Essen , † November 28, 1955 in Bergnassau-Schänen ) was a German lawyer and politician ( FDP ).

Life

Kloft attended elementary school and secondary school, where he graduated from high school in 1911. He then studied law in Tübingen, Berlin, Münster and Würzburg. From 1914 to 1918 he was a soldier in World War I and retired as a lieutenant in the reserve. In 1921 he was promoted to Dr. jur. et rer. pole. and in 1922 he passed the Great State Examination in Law. Then he was a lawyer and notary in Duisburg . In 1947 he became chairman of the mining board and managing director of the Mercur union in Bad Ems .

politics

In 1933 he was a member of the DNVP . After 1933 he became a member of the SA (Reiterstandarte Brigade 173, later Reitersturm 7/74). In 1936 he resigned because of professional demands from trips abroad. In 1939 he became a member of the NSDAP .

In 1948 Kloft became a member of the FDP and in 1949 FDP parliamentary group chairman in the city council of Bad Ems. In the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 1951 , he came up with a replacement. On September 26, 1951, he moved up for Wilhelm Nowack in the second Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate . On October 7, 1953, he resigned from the state parliament. In the state parliament he was a member of the legal and procedural committee.

From 1924 to 1933 he was a Freemason . He was chairman of the Mining Employers' Association of Rhineland-Palatinate and member of the board of the Vereinigung Mittelrheinischer Unternehmerverband e. V. in Koblenz.
