The film is about the cultural city of Miami. The relevance of art and culture for the social cohesion of a city is questioned as an example. The film was financed by the Berlin / Munich production company Zuckerfilm and supervised as producers by Daniel Krauss and Antoine Monot . Scissors & Glue immediately made it into the festival program of the Fort Lauderdale international film festival FLIFF and was broadcast several times on the American PBS .
