Helmut Wiesinger (born January 28, 1952 in Linz ) is an Austrian actor , author and director .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1971, he studied acting at the Bruckner Conservatory from 1972 to 1975 . He was also active as a speaker, moderator and author for the Upper Austrian ORF . In 1975 he passed the stage entrance examination. This was followed by engagements in Heilbronn and Koblenz . From 1979 Wiesinger was a member of the Viennese theater group "Die Komödianten" under the artistic direction of Conny Hannes Meyer . From 1986 to 1993 he worked as a freelance actor and author.

This was followed by engagements from 1993 to 1995 at the Badische Landesbühne Bruchsal and from 1995 to 1996 at the Württemberg Landesbühne Esslingen . From 1996 to 1998 Wiesinger was a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater in his hometown of Linz.

He has been at the Lower Austria State Theater since 1998 , initially as a guest and since 2002 as a permanent member of the ensemble.

Wiesinger worked with great theater and directors such as Ernst Stankovski , Erwin Steinhauer , Louise Martini , Hanno Pöschl and Mercedes Echerer .

He was also active in several television productions (including "Julia - An Unusual Woman" with Christiane Hörbiger and "Der Bulle von Tölz" with Ottfried Fischer ). There are also numerous participations in summer games.

Helmut Wiesinger is also active as an author. He has been married since 1977 and lives in Vienna .
