Hendrik IV. Van Montfoort

Hendrik IV. Van Montfoort (* 1414 in Montfoort ; † 1459 ibid.) Was the 8th burgrave of Montfoort , as well as lord of the high glories Polsbroek and Purmerend - Purmerland . His other feudal titles were those of a lord of Linschoten, Hekensdorp and Wulverhorst. As dikemaster he was responsible for the Lopikkerwaard. He administered the city of Woerden and the Rhineland as Vogt .

Hendrik came from the Van Montfoort family . His parents were Johan II. Van Montfoort and Cunegonde van Bronkhorst . Hendrik was put under a spell by the House of Burgundy because of his father's political stance in the hook-and-cod war . As a senior military man, Hendrik succeeded in taking the town of Woerden in 1448 for the Hook Party .

From his marriage to Margretha von Croy, daughter of Antoine I de Croÿ (?), Count of Pontiac, there were three descendants:
