Stallion Parade (Breeding Show)
Stallion parades or stallion shows are breeding shows in which the stallions of a stud are presented to interested breeders and evaluated. The further use of the animals depends on the achievement of certain standards of the breed associations.
Over time, the stallion parades developed into social and sporting events with dressage and driving demonstrations.
Stallion parades usually take place annually, often on several consecutive weekends, mainly in the state studs . Well-known stallion parades are carried out by:
- the Lower Saxony State Stud Celle
- the Hessian State Stud Dillenburg
- the Icelandic Horse Breeding and Sports Association North (North German Stallion Parade in Jesteburg )
- the Baden-Württemberg main and state stud Marbach ; see Stallion Parade (Marbach)
- the Saxon and Thuringian State Stud Moritzburg
- the Brandenburg Main and State Stud Neustadt / Dosse

- the North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud Warendorf ; see Stallion Parade (Warendorf)
