Henning Walter Krautmacher (born March 5, 1957 in Leverkusen - Schlebusch ) is a German musician and front man of the Cologne band Höhner .

biography

Henning Krautmacher trained as a curative teacher , worked as a display designer and then became a journalist . Until the mid-1980s he performed with bands such as Locker vom Hocker and Uss d'r Lameng. One of the most famous songs by Uss d'r Lameng was Mir sin die Fans us demm Bayer Stadion . The performances during the carnival season in the Ulrich Haberland Stadium in Leverkusen (now BayArena ) made the band known nationwide. In 1982 Uss d'r Lameng took part in Udo Werner's talent test at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne and won.

In 1986 Krautmacher joined the Höhners when their front man at the time, Peter Horn, left the band. Krautmacher is also an occasional presenter and actor. In the film Vollidiot he played a taxi driver from Cologne; in the television series Pastewka himself. In the episode Real Friends of the ARD television series Pensionnercops , he was also seen.

Krautmacher has been married for a second time since the end of 2011. He lives in Pulheim - Stommeln and cultivates his roots in Leverkusen through public appearances and readings as well as supporting the Leverkusener Tafel . Krautmacher is committed to the German bone marrow donor database and in April 2012 was the face of the DKMS campaign for the large-scale event Open your mouth against leukemia in Bonn. In February 2015, Krautmacher was a participant in a carnival edition of the program The Perfect Celebrity Dinner on VOX .

Honors

In March 2012 he was awarded the Rhein-Erft district's cultural prize. In January 2019, Prime Minister Armin Laschet presented him with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his social commitment.
