Henning Stegelmann

Henning Stegelmann (born April 29, 1964 in Immenstadt im Allgäu ) is a German dubbing writer and dialogue director .

Life

He is the son of actor and dubbing director John Pauls-Harding and film editor Wicky Strohmeyer. Stegelmann grew up in Hamburg . After graduating from high school in 1983, he studied all kinds of things (law, German , philosophy, history, architecture) without obtaining a degree. He took speech training and worked as an actor. From 1988 he wrote for television and the satirical magazine Kowalski, among others . He worked as a freelance editor and translator ( Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby together with Marcus Geiss). One of his first tasks as a dubbed author was working on the reconstructed version of Luchino Visconti'sThe Leopard ” for ZDF . For Sat. 1 he was responsible for the “Funny Dubbing” format with Sven and Jens Böttcher . Since 1999 he has been earning his living almost exclusively with the synchronization of films and TV series.
