Henri-Marie-Charles Gufflet

Henri-Marie-Charles Gufflet (born May 24, 1913 in Versailles , † June 11, 2004 ) was Bishop of Limoges .

Life

Henri-Marie-Charles Gufflet was ordained a priest on June 29, 1936 .

John XXIII appointed him on December 16, 1959 Coadjutor Bishop of Limoges and Titular Bishop of Calama . The Bishop of Versailles , Alexandre-Charles-Albert-Joseph Renard , donated him episcopal ordination on April 1 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Roger Jean Fernand Michon , Bishop of Chartres , and Jacques-Eugène-Louis Ménager , auxiliary bishop in Versailles .

He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . After the death of Louis-Paul Rastouil , he succeeded him on April 7, 1966 as Bishop of Limoges. Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 15, 1968 as prelate of the Mission de France . He resigned from this office on February 22, 1973. On July 13, 1988, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
