Ust-Tarka ( Russian Усть-Та́рка ) is a village (selo) in the Novosibirsk Oblast in Russia with 3819 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

The place is about 460 km as the crow flies west of the Novosibirsk Oblast Administrative Center in the western part of the Barabasteppe . It is located on the right bank of the Irtysh tributary Om , at the confluence of the small right tributary Tarka.

Ust-Tarka is the administrative center of the Rajons Ust-Tarkski and seat of the rural community (selskoje posselenije) Ust-Tarkski selsowet, also includes the 10 km southeast situated village Bogoslowka to.

history

The place goes to two 1752 by settlers from the territory of modern Ukraine , including the Don Cossacks , founded villages back: nazarovo (200 km north-east, on the upriver mündenten in the Om Tartas , was the village Verkh-nazarovo , "Ober-nazarovo" today's Severnoje) and Ust-Tarkskaja (after the river that flows into it and from Russian ustje for "mouth"). The villages soon grew together, and until the 20th century (for example in the data of the 1897 census) both forms of name were used alternately. In 1926 the village received its official name in its current form. From January 20, 1936, it belonged to the newly created Kuschagowski rajon with headquarters in the village of Kuschagi , 13 km to the north , but on April 17, 1936 the administration was moved to Ust-Tarka and the raion was renamed accordingly. Today Ust-Tarka is the smallest district center in Novosibirsk Oblast.

From Ust-Tarka, first in a south-easterly and then south-westerly direction, the regional road 50K-20 leads to Tatarsk , almost 50 km away , where the closest train station Tatarskaya is located on the Trans-Siberian Railway , and a little further south the federal trunk road R254 Irtysh (formerly M51) runs from Chelyabinsk via Omsk to Novosibirsk.

The regional road 50K-22 runs through Ust-Tarka in an east-west direction: to the west to the Omsk Oblast, 25 km away (there further than 52K-2 via Nizhnyaya Omka towards Omsk), to the east via Wengerowo to Kuibyshev . This road was part of the old route of the M51 until the 1990s.

The 50K-20 crosses the Om about 10 km southeast (upstream) at Bogoslowka; a bridge directly in Ust-Tarka leads to the village of Shcherbaki, opposite not far from the left bank .
