Bolotnoje ( Russian Боло́тное ) is a city in the Novosibirsk Oblast ( Russia ) with 16,570 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The city is located in the southeastern part of the West Siberian lowlands , about 90 km northeast of the oblast capital Novosibirsk . The climate is continental.
The city of Bolotnoye is the administrative center of the raion of the same name .
history
Bolotnoye was established in 1805 as a settlement on the Siberian tract and received city rights in 1943.

The city has had a local museum since 1981.
Economy and Infrastructure
In Bolotnoye there are companies in the food and light industry, construction and rail transport.
The city is on the Trans-Siberian Railway (3463 km from Moscow , station name Bolotnaya ). To the south bypasses the M53 highway from Novosibirsk via Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk .
North of Bolotnoye there is a long wave transmitter for the radio navigation system RSDN-20 ( Alpha ).
