Titular diocese of Calama
Calama is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
The city in North Africa (today's Guelma ) was an old Roman bishopric , which went down in the 7th century with the Islamic expansion . It was in the Roman province of Numidia .
One of the ministers working here in the first quarter of the fifth century was Possidius , Bishop of Calama - pupil, companion and biographer of Augustine of Hippo .
