Paulo Alves Romão

Paulo Alves Romão (born April 6, 1964 in Barra do Jacaré , Paraná , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro .

Life

Paulo Alves Romão was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro on June 28, 1997 .

Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro and titular bishop of Calama on December 7, 2016 . The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, Orani João Cardinal Tempesta OCist , donated him and the simultaneously appointed Joel Portella Amado the episcopal ordination on January 28 of the following year . Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop emeritus Assis Lopes and the archbishop of Taranto , Filippo Santoro .
