The diocese of Jixian ( lat . : Dioecesis Ueihoeivensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Anyang in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius IX founded the Apostolic Vicariate Honan on March 2, 1844. On August 28, 1882, the Apostolic Vicariate was divided into the Apostolic Vicariate North Honan and the Apostolic Vicariate South Honan . On August 2, 1929, it took the name of the Weihuifu Apostolic Vicariate.

On July 7, 1936, it lost part of its territory in favor of the establishment of the Xinxiang Apostolic Prefecture . With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946.
