Henric Höglund (born December 22, 1977 in Hammarö ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Vita Hästen in Division 1 since 2011 . His brothers Jonas and Bengt and his cousins Emil Bejmo and Viktor Bejmo are also ice hockey players.
Career
Henric Höglund began his career as an ice hockey player at Hammarö HC , for which he was active from 1994 to 1997, in the then third-class Division 2 . He then played for the second division IFK Munkfors and Bofors IK , before moving to Leksands IF from the Elitserien during the 1998/99 season. The following season the striker finished with his ex-club Bofors IK and then IF Sundsvall Hockey in the HockeyAllsvenskan, which has now been introduced as the second division . In this he was on the ice from 2000 to 2002 for the IK Oskarshamn . For the 2002/03 season Höglund signed with Stjernen Hockey in the Norwegian GET league , before he took up from 2003 to 2005 in the HockeyAllsvenskan for Nyköpings Hockey and again Bofors IK. The Swede then returned to Norway, where he spent one season each with his ex-club Stjernen Hockey and the Stavanger Oilers .
At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he received a contract with SaiPa Lappeenranta in the highest Finnish league, the SM-liiga . He left the club during the season and from then on played for the Storhamar Dragons , with whom he became Norwegian champion in 2008 . In the 2008/09 season Höglund went on the ice again for Stjernen Hockey in the GET-ligaen and was named top scorer, top scorer and player of the year at the end of the season . He was also elected to the league's all-star team . Thus, the center could recommend itself for a contract for the season 2009/10 with the reigning Slovak champions HC Košice . For Košice he completed 14 games in which he got four scorer points before he returned to Stjernen Hockey in late October 2009. For the 2011/12 season he returned to Sweden and signed a contract in third-class Division 1 with HC Vita Hästen .
