Henriette Charlotte Countess von Itzenplitz , b. von Borcke (born July 18, 1772 in Potsdam , † April 13, 1848 in Berlin ) was a Brandenburg nobleman and landlady .

Life

She was the daughter of Adrian Heinrich von Borcke , the Prussian envoy in Dresden , later in Stockholm , and Helene Charlotte von Friedland . The parents' marriage ended in divorce soon after their birth. She grew up on her mother's estate in Kunersdorf. On September 23, 1792, Henriette Charlotte married the war and domain councilor Count Peter Alexander von Itzenplitz (1768–1834) in Kunersdorf .

Chamisso spent the summer of 1813 at Kunersdorf Castle, where he wrote his Schlemihl for the children of Henriette Charlotte .
