Henri Erdmann

Henri Erdmann , also : Henry (born February 19, 1878 in Braunschweig ; † June 10, 1937 there ) was a Braunschweig politician ( SPD ). From 1918 to 1930 he was a member of the Braunschweig State Parliament .

Live and act

Henri Erdmann learned the profession of office assistant and worked from 1902 to 1917 in various commercial positions in Wolfenbüttel . From 1917 to 1923 he was managing director of the local general health insurance fund . He was then district director of the Braunschweig district until 1931, when he was dismissed by the new DNVP - NSDAP state government . His retirement pension was withdrawn on October 1, 1933.

Erdmann had been a member of the SPD since 1907. After the First World War he became chairman of the SPD constituency organization Wolfenbüttel-Helmstedt and the SPD district organization Wolfenbüttel . From 1918 to 1933 Erdmann was a member of the Braunschweig State Parliament.

Erdmann was imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp in August 1935 . There he fell seriously ill. He was released from the concentration camp and operated on several times, but did not recover.
