Henry Fischer (theologian)

Henry Fischer (born February 13, 1928 in Hamburg , † February 28, 1997 in Ahrensburg ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied at the PTH Sankt Georgen (1947–1949) and Innsbruck (1949–1952 / 1956–1958), where he obtained his degree in theology in 1952 . and in 1958 a Dr. theol. received his doctorate . It was consecrated on December 20, 1952 in Osnabrück . In 1953 he became a chaplain in Maria Grün (Hamburg-Blankenese) . In 1955 he was chaplain in St. Antonius (Hamburg) . In 1958 he became vicar in St. Joseph (Osnabrück) . In 1959 he taught as a religion teacher and principal at the Sophie Barat School . In 1960 he took over parochial duties and was responsible for church broadcasting and radio work in Hamburg. 1961 was Hamburg city man's pastor. In 1972 he became director of the Catholic Academy in Hamburg. 1975 became pastor at the Kleiner Michel and advisor for theological questions at the academy. At the same time he was released from duty as director of the Catholic Academy. Paul VI appointed him Honorary Chaplain to His Holiness in 1974 . 1977 took over the management of the college for the church community service in Hildesheim. Since 1979 he has taught as a professor of pastoral theology at the Hildesheim seminary . In 1984 he became program director of the private radio in Lower Saxony. 1985 was ex- carded and incardinated in the diocese of Hildesheim . Since 1992 he was subsidiar at Mary Help of Christians (Ahrensburg) and St. Michael (Bargteheide) . In 1994 he became the state pastor of the Malteser Aid Service in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
