Research priorities

The focus of his research was Neoplatonism and Plotinus, in particular their philosophical psychology, which was faced with the difficult task of reconciling the psychology of Aristotle with that of Plato . Blumenthal left an almost complete but previously unpublished commentary on Plotin's treatise "Problems of the Soul" (Enneade IV 3-5).
