Henry Kosgei Cherono (born July 17, 1978 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

In 1999 he finished fifth in the Berlin Marathon , and in 2000 he won the Hong Kong Marathon and the Frankfurt Marathon .

The following year he won the Rome Marathon and came third in Frankfurt, and in 2002 he won the Maratona d'Europa and came second in Frankfurt. He took second place each at the 2003 Hamburg Marathon and, with his personal best of 2:10:26 h, at the 2004 Cologne Marathon and seventh at the 2006 Dubai Marathon .

In 2007 he finished second in the Alexander the Great Marathon and sixth in the Singapore Marathon . A victory at the Ruhr Marathon in 2008 was followed by a sixth place in the same place the following year.
