Maratona d'Europa
The Maratona d'Europa is a marathon between Gradisca d'Isonzo and Trieste that has been taking place since 2000. He went from the Bavisela out, a fun run 7 km non-competitive, that between the 1994 Miramare Castle is discharged and Trieste and in 1996 half marathon Maratonina europea dei due Castelli between Aurisina was supplemented and Trieste.
route
The marathon begins in Gradisca, leads first via Sagrado , Fogliano Redipuglia and Ronchi dei Legionari to Monfalcone and then follows the Adriatic coast via Duino-Aurisina to the center of Trieste, where the finish is in Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia . The route has a gradient of approx. 30 meters in altitude in the first half , while in the second half you have to master approx. 100 meters uphill and downhill.
