Henry Somerset, 12th Duke of Beaufort

Henry John FitzRoy Somerset, 12th Duke of Beaufort (born May 22, 1952 ), is a British peer .

biography

Early life

Beaufort is the eldest son of David Somerset, 11th Duke of Beaufort and Lady Caroline Jane Thynne and attended Eton College . He and his family are descended from Edward III in the male line . from; the first Somerset was a legitimate son of Henry Beaufort, Duke of Somerset , whose grandfather was a legitimate son of John of Gaunt . He is a 7th cousin of Queen Elizabeth II through their common ancestor William Cavendish, 3rd Duke of Devonshire . He held the courtesy title of Marquess of Worcester until his father's death . His name was therefore Bunter Worchester .

Musician

Beaufort is the singer and songwriter of the rock group "The Listening Device". The band entered u. a. at the Glastonbury Festival 2016 and the Highclere Rocks concert in 2006.

family

He married environmental activist and former actress Tracy Louise Ward, sister of actress Rachel Ward , on June 13, 1987 at Cornwell Manor, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire . He has three children with her:

1. (Henry) Robert FitzRoy Somerset (Bobby Worcester), (born January 20, 1989), Marquess of Worcester (until 2017 Earl of Glamorgan).
2. Lady Isabella Elsa Somerset (Bella Somerset), (born August 3, 1992).
3. Lord Alexander Lorne Somerset (Jordan Somerset), (born November 19, 1993 in London).

He lives at Badminton House in Gloucestershire.
