Henryków Lubański [ xɛn'rɨkuf lu'baɲski ] (German Catholic Hennersdorf or Hennersdorf , Silesian and Upper Lusatian : Hennerschdurf ; 1939–1945 Ziethen-Hennersdorf) is a town with 850 inhabitants in Poland . It belongs to the municipality of Lubań in the powiat Lubański , Lower Silesian Voivodeship .
Hennersdorf has been its largest monastery village since the foundation of the Magdalenerinnenkloster Lauban and therefore remained Catholic even after the Reformation . In Henryków Lubański there is still the Hennersdorf yew tree , which in 1921 was considered the “oldest tree in Germany”. Today the yew is considered to be the "oldest tree in Poland". In 1745, the Battle of Hennersdorf took place north of Henryków Lubański . This is indicated by a memorial stone on the road to Godzieszów (Günthersdorf) about 1 km north of Hennersdorf and with the inscription Ziethen aus dem Busch - Kath. Hennersdorf November 23, 1745 .
