Henryk Orfinger

Henryk Orfinger (* 1951 ) is a Polish entrepreneur .

He is a founding partner of the cosmetics company Dr Irena Eris and, together with his wife, is one of the hundred richest Poles with a fortune of around 100 million euros , according to an annually updated list of riches in the Polish edition of Forbes magazine in 2013.

Life

Orfinger graduated from the Faculty of Transportation at the Warsaw University of Technology . In 1983 he and his wife Irena Szołomicka-Orfinger founded the Dr Irena Eris cosmetics company , which initially consisted of a small business with one employee who produced a hand cream. The couple received the necessary capital to set up their business from an inheritance. At first Orfinger was still employed in the Polish Ministry of Transport ( Ministerstwo Komunikacji ). After a year he started working full-time for his cosmetics company. He is the chairman of the executive board. In addition to the cosmetics production (consisting of Laboratorium Cosmetyczne Dr Irena Eris , Instytut Cosmetyczny Dr Irena Eris and Centrum Naukowo-Badawcze Dr Irena Eris ), the group of companies also includes two wellness hotels ("Hotele SPA Dr Irene Eris" in Krynica-Zdrój and Wysoka Wieś near Ostróda ) and a sales company in Ukraine . The company produces around 2 million cosmetics per month and delivers to 28 countries.

In 2000 Orfinger acquired the historic Henryk Palace in the Warsaw district of Mokotów , which he had renovated and which is now the company's Warsaw headquarters.

Functions

Orfinger works in an honorary capacity as a member of the board of the Association of the Polish Cosmetics Industry ( Polski Związek Przemysłu Cosmetycznego ), which he co-founded . He is chairman of the supervisory board of the employers' organization Polska Konfederacja Pracodawców Prywatnych Lewiatan . He is also chairman of the jury for the award for Polish economists, the Galeria Chwały Polskiej Ekonomii .

In January 2006 Orfinger was elected Deputy Chairman of the Board of a West Masurian tourism organization ( Zachodniomazurska Lokalna Organizacja Turystyczna ZLOT ). In 2000 he received the “Lider Polskiego Biznesu” award from the Business Center Club for the development, expansion and international competitiveness of his company. In 2004 he was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta .
