The Herøy Kystmuseum is a museum on the western Norwegian island of Herøya in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .

Herøy Coastal Museum is housed in buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The house, the oldest part of which dates from 1752, is furnished with furniture from the 19th century. The Eismeergalerie shows a collection on the subject of seals and in the boathouse, in addition to various types of boats and fishing equipment, a reconstruction of the Kvalsundfæringer is on display. The Kvalsundfæringer is a type of boat from the Viking Age that was found on the nearby island of Nerlandsøya together with the Kvalsund boat , also named after the place where it was found.
The museum's boat collection also includes Anna Olava , a replica of a Sunnmørsjekta from the 18th century. The boat was reconstructed by boat builder Saxe Bjørkedal in 2000 based on a Sunnmørsjekta found in Håkonsholmen in Ulstein .

The property of today's Herøy Kystmuseum was acquired by the Herøy municipality in 1974 . In the same year the renovation of the main building and the boathouse began. In 1981 the property opened as a museum and is managed by the Sunnmøre Museum Foundation .
