Herbert-Werner Mühlroth
Herbert-Werner Mühlroth (born August 23, 1963 in Jimbolia ( German: Hatzfeld ), People's Republic of Romania ) is a Romanian-German publicist and translator who has lived in Germany since 1982 . In Romania he belonged to the German minority of the Banat Swabians .
Life
Herbert-Werner Mühlroth was born in Jimbolia in 1963 . 1970–1974 he attended elementary school in Jimbolia and then (1974–1982) the high school in Timișoara . In 1982 he fled Romania and has lived in Germany since May 15, 1982. In 1983 he graduated from the Zeppelin-Gymnasium Stuttgart .
From 1983 Mühlroth studied German , Romance languages and philosophy at the University of Heidelberg and the Free University of Berlin and graduated in 1990 with a Magister Artium . In 1995 Mühlroth passed the state examination for translators and interpreters and was approved as a sworn interpreter and state-certified and since 2012 as an authorized translator for Romanian.
For years he has worked as a freelance writer, translator, interpreter and copywriter. Among other things, he has translated Reiner Kunze's The Wonderful Years into Romanian and published the first Romanian- Aromanian dictionary . He writes poetry , prose and essays . He published his first novel, Fool in Trance , in 2012.
