Herbert Bernstein
Herbert Bernstein (born January 12, 1930 in Hamburg ; † April 20, 2001 ) was a German lawyer and university professor .
Life
After receiving his doctorate in 1962 at the University of Hamburg as Dr. jur. and the Juris Doctor in Michigan in 1967, he taught from 1976 to 1971 as a professor at the University of California, Berkeley and from 1971 to 1988 as a professor of comparative law and international private law at the University of Hamburg.
