Herbert Kaspar

Herbert Kaspar (born June 25, 1948 in Vienna ) is an Austrian publicist, editor and journalist.

Life

Herbert Kaspar studied law at the University of Vienna , where he received his Dr. iur. received his doctorate. After the court year he worked for the Girozentrale und Bank der Österreichische Sparkassen AG (later GiroCredit) and took on positions in the areas of international finance, board secretary, economics, marketing and advertising. Kaspar became director of GiroCredit Bank AG der Sparkassen and acted as head of marketing and communications. In addition, from 1983 he was managing director of GESCO, a subsidiary of the bank. After the takeover of GiroCredit by Erste Österreichische Sparcasse , he became a consultant at Erste Bank in 1999 .

Herbert Kaspar dealt for years with questions of finance, politics, marketing, press, journalism and published numerous essays and articles. He was involved in lectures and taught in various training courses. He works for various specialist magazines as well as daily and weekly newspapers. In the 1970s he was a permanent employee of the Austrian weekly newspaper “ Die Furche ”. He was co-founder and editor of the financial newspaper of the Austrian Girozentrale .

From 2001 to 2013 he was the honorary editor of “ Academia ”, the magazine of the Austrian Cartel Association (ÖCV) , which appears six times a year with a circulation of 13,000. He was editor of the "Edition Academia". Kaspar was a regular columnist for the “ Wiener Zeitung ” from 2006 to 2009 ; Today he is a guest commentator in various media, including the " Presse ".

Herbert Kaspar is married and has three children.

Austrian Cartel Association (ÖCV)

Kaspar is a member of the Catholic student association K.Ö.HV Amelungia Vienna in the ÖCV.

Within the framework of the ÖCV, Kaspar was already active again and again before he took over the publishing house of the Austrian " Academia ", especially in the late 1960s / early 1970s as one of the co-initiators of an educational academy for the ÖCV, which was then founded in 1971 and was its first general secretary was. From 1983 to 1987 he was the finance officer of the ÖCV. At that time the reorganization of the CV finances was realized, as well as the creation of new office space in the "CV House" in Vienna.
