Herbert Obscherningkat
Herbert Obscherningkat (born August 4, 1911 in Berlin ; † August 13, 1991 in Hamburg ) was a German journalist and film producer.
Life
Obscherningkat was the sports editor for the attack and leader of the sports press in the Gauen of Pomerania and Berlin-Brandenburg during the time of National Socialism . Later he was press officer for the Reichsportführer Hans von Tschammer und Osten
From 1948 he worked as a film producer and in 1951 became the owner of the film production company Porta-Film in Hamburg, with which he created industrial films in particular , including for Krupp . He was also a managing board member of the Federal Association of German Film and AV Producers. Obscherningkat was a member of the international jury at the 1972 Berlinale .
