Herbert Podolske
Herbert "Podolle" Podolske (born July 20, 1919 in Kiel ; † April 28, 2003 ) was a German handball player .
Career
Herbert Podolske began in 1927 with the FT Adler Kiel with the field handball . He later moved to THW Kiel , with whom the runner became German field handball champions in 1948 and 1950 . Podolske belonged together with his teammates Hein Dahlinger and Heinz-Georg Sievers to the selection of the German Handball Federation , which was field handball world champion in Switzerland in 1952 . In 1954 he became vice world champion in the hall with the German national team . After his playing days, he became a trainer at FT Adler.
Herbert Podolske was honored with the silver laurel leaf for his sporting successes .
