Herbert Rasenberger

Herbert Rasenberger (born April 13, 1932 in Schönebeck (Elbe) ; † April 5, 2019 ) was a German homeland researcher and author .

Life

Rasenberger reached secondary school leaving certificate and then began an apprenticeship as a wholesale druggist in 1948 and attended the drug school in Magdeburg . In 1951 he completed his apprenticeship as a druggist . This was followed by attending a pharmacy school in Leipzig , where he graduated as a pharmacy assistant in 1952 . From 1952 to 1959 he worked as a pharmacy assistant in Magdeburg pharmacies .

From 1960 onwards he worked as a skilled chemical worker in the Magdeburg chemical plant Fahlberg-List . He became a brigadier in saccharine production . From 1960 onwards, parallel to his professional activity, he completed evening studies at the “Justus von Liebig” college for chemistry . In 1966 he graduated as a chemical engineer specializing in technology. Until 1991 he worked in various departments at Fahlberg-List. In 1991 he went into early retirement as part of the liquidation of the business .

Since 1984 he has been concerned with the history of the traditional company Fahlberg-List. In 2009 he published a book on company history. In other publications he dealt with the history of the city of Magdeburg and its districts.
