Herbert Schaffarczyk

Herbert Schaffarczyk (born July 2, 1901 in Königshütte / Upper Silesia , † April 17, 1979 in Bonn ) was a German diplomat .

Life

Herbert Schaffarczyk studied law and political science and became a fully qualified lawyer . In 1925 he was with the theme § 1404 of the Civil Code and its applicability to the common property of the contractual matrimonial property regimes at the University of Breslau for Doctor of Law doctorate . From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the German Center Party . From 1925 to 1936 Schaffarczyk was an assessor and judge in the judicial service. In 1931 he was promoted to the district judge . In the time of National Socialism he was from 1936 to 1938 and from 1939 to 1943 to theForeign Office seconded. From 1938 to 1939 and 1944 he worked as a judge in the judicial service. He was legal advisor and member of the supervisory board of Kontinentale Öl AG .

From 1944 to 1950 Schaffarczyk headed a main office in the city council of Greater Berlin .

On September 15, 1950, he joined the foreign service of the Federal Republic of Germany . In 1952 Schaffarczyk was concerned with Spain. He had built a house next to Otto Lenz in Bad Godesberg . Lenz had designated him as head of the human resources department, a key position in the Foreign Office. As part of the dismantling of Lenz, Schaffarczyk was sent as consul general to Barcelona , where he had exequatur from October 4, 1953 to March 24, 1959 .

Herbert Schaffarczyk was retired on April 30, 1966 .
