Herbert Wiegand (born May 23, 1949 ) is a former German biathlete .

Herbert Wiegand was active for the ASK Vorwärts Oberhof . He won the bronze medal behind the relays from the Soviet Union and Norway at the 1973 Biathlon World Championships in Lake Placid with Dieter Speer , Manfred Geyer and Günter Bartnik . In the individual, he was 18th. In the GDR championships he won in 1971 , 1972 and 1974 the runner-up title with the relay and also won the 1972 title in the individual. He is now a functionary at WSV Oberhof 05 .
