topography

The stream rises at around 282 meters above sea level on Borner Straße between the Cronenberg district of Herichhausen and the center of Cronenberg. Initially piped, it flows in a westerly direction under the residential buildings and agricultural areas to the Burgholz state forest nature reserve, where it flows within the local arboretum down to the Wupper.

From the left it receives four tributaries: The Herichhauser Siefen 3 (27365322), an unnamed left inflow (27365324), the Herichhauser Siefen 2 (27365326) and the Herichhauser Siefen 1 (27365328). After around 1.7 km the Herichhauser Bach pipes under the state road 74 and flows into the Wupper at around 127 meters above sea level.

Its Bachtal separates a foothill of the Cronenberg from the Kürken elevation and is part of the natural spatial unit Burgholzberge (order number 338.051).
