Abell 2151 ( A2151 for short ), also known as the Hercules Cluster , is a galaxy cluster in the constellation of the same name that is about 500 million light years away . A2151 stretches about 1 ° in the sky, is complex in structure, and has no central galaxy. The brightest member is NGC 6041 . The heap contains several interacting systems, including Arp 71 and Arp 272 . A2151 is part of the Hercules supercluster and the Great Wall . The galaxy cluster was first described by Harlow Shapley in 1933.
