NGC 6034 is a 13.6 likes bright elliptical radio galaxy from the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Hercules at the northern sky . It is an estimated 458 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 135,000 ly. The galaxy is considered a member of the Hercules galaxy cluster Abell 2151 . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6039 , IC 1170 , IC 1173 , IC 1186 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on June 19, 1886 .
