NGC 6041 is a 13.4 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E-S0 in the constellation Hercules and about 473 million light years from the Milky Way. It belongs to the Hercules supercluster and, together with the non-NGC object PGC 56960 (also called NGC 6041B ), forms a gravitationally bound double galaxy.
The galaxy was discovered by Édouard Stephan on June 27, 1870 .
