Hermín Negrón Santana

Hermín Negrón Santana (born November 10, 1937 in Naranjito , † March 10, 2012 in Caparra Heights, Guaynabo ) was a Puerto Rican clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in San Juan de Puerto Rico .

Life

Hermín Negrón Santana, from a family with 12 children, entered the diocesan seminary after attending the Academia Santa Teresita . On May 30, 1969, he was ordained a priest from Cardinal Luis Aponte Martínez .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on June 30, 1981 titular bishop of Gegi and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of San Juan de Puerto Rico, Luis Cardinal Aponte Martínez , on September 7, 1981; Co- consecrators were Enrique Manuel Hernández Rivera , Bishop of Caguas , and Rafael Grovas Felix , Former Bishop of Caguas . He was a longtime secretary and economist in the Puerto Rican Episcopal Conference.
