Hermann Abmayr

Hermann Abmayr (born February 16, 1891 in Dattenhausen ; † January 9, 1959 in Lippstadt ) was a German veterinarian .

Abmayr graduated from high school in St. Stephan in Augsburg in 1911 and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Munich . As a war volunteer, he took part in the First World War as a soldier . During this time he passed his veterinary license, and the state examination followed after the war. From 1920 he worked as a practicing veterinarian in Kötzting , from 1926 as a district veterinarian in Altomünster and from 1931 in Illertissen . In 1936 he began as a veterinarian and head of the city slaughterhouse in Günzburg . From 1952 to 1958 he was President of the Bavarian Chamber of Veterinarians and then Honorary President. From March 1, 1951 until his death, he was also a member of the Bavarian Senate .
