Hermann Aichinger junior
Hermann Aichinger (born August 19, 1917 in Rodaun ; † November 19, 1965 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect.
Aichinger, the son of Hermann Aichinger , who was also an architect, studied at the Technical University in Vienna from 1936 to 1947, with an interruption due to the Second World War from 1941 to 1946 . He then went into his father's office.
His largest projects include the reconstruction of parts of the main building of the University of Vienna as well as municipal buildings in Vienna-Jedlesee, residential and commercial buildings as well as industrial buildings. After his father died in 1962, he completed the cancer research institute in Vienna-Alsergrund. However, he only survived until 1965 and was buried in the same grave as his father at the Hietzinger Friedhof (group 12, number 29).
