power
Hermann Aichinger and Heinrich Schmid were leading architects of Red Vienna in the interwar period, where they planned several large residential and public buildings. Following on from Art Nouveau, the duo represented a more tradition-conscious style, which, in addition to functionality, also focused on the aesthetic external effect with an emphasis on carefully executed details. Aichinger built Vienna's first steel frame building on Rotenturmstrasse .
