Hermann Daubenspeck (born June 24, 1831 in Neuruppin , † August 12, 1915 in Leipzig ) was a German judge at the Imperial Court. He founded a standard work for the preparatory service in civil procedural law.

Life

Daubenspeck grew up in Havelberg as the son of a judicial commissioner and later a lawyer . He attended the Alte Gymnasium Neuruppin . After high school he studied in the winter semester 1850/51 jurisprudence at the Friedrich-University of Halle , where he a member of the Corps Borussia Halle was. As an inactive , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin for the summer semester of 1852 . There he passed the auscultator on October 11, 1853 - and the trainee exam on February 26, 1859. After he had passed the assessor examination at the higher court on April 28, 1859 , he started the Prussian judicial career as a court assessor on June 26, 1859.

Judge

He became a district judge on July 1, 1863 in his native Kyritz and on January 1, 1870 in Brandenburg an der Havel , where he was appointed district judge on July 1, 1873. On October 1, 1877 he was appellate judge, in 1879 senior judge at the Hamm Higher Regional Court . There he published several important works on mining law . He devoted himself particularly to the legal preparatory service and in 1884 founded the standard work for German legal training in civil procedural law with a focus on relational technology . After the experience of his further judicial work, he added and improved this work continuously. On January 1, 1887, he was appointed Imperial Judge. Until his retirement on January 1, 1899, he was a member of the Fifth Civil Senate of the Imperial Court . On the occasion of his farewell, Daubenspeck received the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves. In Leipzig he was in close contact with his cartel corps Lusatia from the start , which awarded him the corps ribbon at the 100th foundation festival . Daubenspreck was married and had three children. His son Friedrich also became a Halle Prussian during the three emperor's year .

Prussian Army

As a one-year volunteer in the 4th Jäger Battalion in Sangerhausen , he was promoted to lieutenant on July 10, 1854 . Until 1868 he was a member of the 4th Brandenburg Landwehr Infantry Regiment No. 24. For the duration of the Franco-Prussian War , he was reactivated as an adjutant in the Landwehr district command in Brandenburg and was awarded the war memorial .
