Ludwig Dürr (judge)

Ludwig Peter Dürr (born July 22, 1852 in Rastatt ; † 1934 ) was a German judge .

Life

After attending grammar schools in Karlsruhe, Freiburg and Rastatt, he studied law in Breslau, Heidelberg and Leipzig. The Baden native was sworn in in 1875 and entered the Baden state service as a legal intern. In 1878 he became a trainee lawyer. In 1879 he was appointed magistrate in Sinsheim and later as public prosecutor in Lörrach. In 1881 he was transferred to Freiburg and in 1882 to Mosbach with the rank of district judge. In 1887 he became a district judge in Karlsruhe. In 1893 he was appointed deputy judicial clerk of the State Insurance Office. In 1896 he was promoted to chairman of the chamber for commercial matters and in 1897 to district court director. In the same year he became a member of the Disciplinary Court and then the Imperial Disciplinary Chamber in Karlsruhe. In 1908 he was promoted to judicial clerk in the state insurance office. At the turn of the year 1909/10 he came to the Reichsgericht in the 1st Criminal Senate . In 1917 he retired.

family

His ancestors were clergy, higher Baden officials and military. His father Ludwig Dürr (1822-1891) was a Prussian major general and, after his departure, 2nd president of the Baden Military Association. His brother Karl (1854–1919) was a general of the infantry and long-time adjutant general of Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden .
